To be an effective translation of the book, the film The Chronicles of Narnia must integrate the themes of imagination, bravery, and loyalty. The entire story is based on a fantasy world with hundreds of magical creatures. Susan, Peter, Lucy, and Edmund are repeatedly confronted with obstacles and situations which require them to search deep inside themselves for bravery. The theme of loyalty is present when Edmund betrays his siblings and joins the White Witch. After being called a traitor, he apologizes to Aslan, his brother, and his sisters. Like the book, the film must teach viewers to have good morals. The original story is fantastic. It's action packed and takes the reader to a magical fantasy world. It's very entertaining, so I think the film should be as true to the book as possible. It should be a literal translation. This would make the film appealing to both adult and child audiences.
